Dark clouds gather in the skies above
Setting the stage for the start of this night show
Streaks of lightning sweep across the sky
Creating pleasant effects like stage lights.

The raindrops hit the floor
Splattering and shattering into a hundred tiny drops
Again and again, countless tiny thuds
On every different surface, like a melody of snare drums.

Metal clanging in the distance like cymbals
The winds blows strong and steady
Like the basal notes of the baritone tuba
A symphony is underway, I hope you’re ready.

Leaves and loose garments flutter around
All dark silhouettes swaying in the breeze
Lightning flashes every now and then abound
Punctuating the darkness to reveal colours that please.

Can you hear the music yet?
We all hate noise but we love the rain
Now you see that they are not the same
The rain is nothing but a music fest.

Pleasing to my ears and eyes
A soothing melody that brings me calm
Music for my body and mind
This orchestra leaves impressions on my soul.
