It has been long years of dreaming
Of that special someone to call mine
It’s been a jagged road of weaving
Past the wrong stops and landmines

It’s easy to say I just have tough luck
But harder to accept when you see patterns
‘I can’t understand you’. ‘You suck’
I hear as many times as the moons of Saturn

Hard to say whose fault it is
Genuine connection, after all, starts and ends
With the freedom to be oneself in thought and deed
There’re no more words needed to be said.

I’ll take up all this space in my corner
I’ll build it up, I’ll make it my haven
Dogs don’t speak, but we still understand them
I promise I need no pity or saving.
